High frequency, low acoustic noise power chokes |
All of these high frequency power choke ranges are based on Sendust powder cores. Sendust cores are a recent innovation, with energy storage capabilities similar to iron powder, but with significantly lower high frequency core losses.

| WK range | High frequency chokes for frequencies two or three times higher than equivalent iron powder cored ranges. Used for compact high frequency SMPSU output chokes and series-mode emc chokes. |
| WKP range | PFC power factor correction chokes, similar to the WK range but with inductances optimised for pfc chokes operating at 100kHz+. Single-layer windings are mainly used to minimise choke self-capacitance in this higher frequency range. Higher current chokes have two single layer windings, to be connected in parallel, to give the required current handling capability with low self-capacitance. |
| WSS range | Low profile chokes. Single layer windings are used, to give low cost and low self-capacitance. |
